Match Challenge

Kilmarnock, VA - The Northern Neck-Middlesex Free Health Clinic (NNMFHC) has launched a $100,000 Matching Challenge to support the growing number of patients who need affordable health care. All contributions received between December 1, 2025 and February 28, 2026 will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $100,000.

The challenge was made possible by a generous anonymous donor who recognized the increased patient demand the Clinic is facing. Possible reductions in health insurance subsidies next year are expected to result in more area residents – our neighbors – losing coverage and seeking care at NNMFHC.

Building Toward a Community Goal

Health-care trends show that the need for free and charitable care is rising. The Clinic has already seen steady growth in patient visits, especially among adults living with chronic conditions who require regular check-ups, medications, and follow-up treatment.

“We are seeing more people need access to healthcare due to rising costs,” said Jeannie Nelson, CEO of NNMFHC. “This matching challenge gives our community a way to help ensure that care remains available for those who rely on us.”

Donations may be made online through NNMFHC.org, by mail to PO Box 1694 in Kilmarnock, VA, or in person at the Clinic’s main office in Kilmarnock.
